We got a Wii Fit you guys holy shit

It's pretty fun and cool, actually. Supposedly it will help my flexibility. I hope so because - as I've discovered while trying to learn kick at Kung Fu - I really have no useful flexibility at all.

It's funny, though, I've been actively looking for a Wii Fit for months. Several months. And I keep just missing them.

Jenn goes to Shopper's Drug Mart practically on a whim today and stumbles on one.

Go figure.

Hi, my name is Julia, I`m learning photographer from Moscow, Russia
LJ user mostlycarzy adviced me to talk to you regarding the cheapest secret shops in Edmonton where I can buy flash and one or two lenses for Canon.
I`ll greatly appreciate if you could help!

Hi there, I did see your post in the Edmonton community and saw that you are interested in photography while reading your LJ (well, looking at it, since I don't read Russian). You have some very nice photos!

I've only ever really shopped at a couple of stores here, I'm not sure about any secret ones, though. ;) The ones I've been to are Vistek, and McBain. Both have stores downtown or close to downtown. They seem to be the best quality stores, and also seem to offer some of the best prices.

I'm curious, what will be bringing you to Edmonton?

Thanks for the reply and info!
Will check both options! By the way, I`ve heard that Alberta is the only territory in Canada that has no taxes, so if I have a choice to buy lenses in Toronto or in Edmonton, I`d better do it in Edmonton in order to save couple of dollars? Right?

I am coming to Edmonton to see the University of Alberta, I applied there for MBA program, and want to see the University and the city before I sign in =)
Can you say something about the University in general and MBA in particular?
If you were me, do you think you`d move to Edmonton for 2 years at least?
I understand you don`t know me, but I`d appreciate your thoughts and opinion!
Thanks!

We do have a federal sales tax of 5%, but no provincial tax like other provinces, so yes, you'll probably save money over Toronto.

The U of A is an excellent university by everything I've been told, but I've never gone there myself.

I was born and raised here so I might be a bit biased, but I would say Edmonton itself is a pretty nice city and worth moving to and living in at least for a couple of years.

Be sure to check out the river valley a bit (it's much prettier in the summer, though). Whyte Ave is a great little entertainment and shopping area near the U of A. Of course we have West Edmonton Mall which is pretty neat to see and shop at. And since your from Moscow, I doubt our weather will scare you as much as it does others. ;)

There's some pretty neat stuff to see and do here, as well as to photograph.

January has an average high of -8C, an average low of -19C, and it can go as low as -40C.
